MISSIONS

Operation Classroom

We will continue to collect for Operation Classroom scholarships this  Sunday.  The scholarship money will go to help students in Liberia and Sierra Leone attend school.  The cost for tuition for one year is $75.  Last year we supported 19 students.  So far we have enough money for 10  students.

Our missionaries from Liberia, Herbert and Mary Zigbou said that monies are always needed to send children to school, as many families can only send one child to school and must choose who gets to go.  They appreciate any support you can give them.  Thank You.

Ken and Sandy Grubb  had the privilege of sharing their home when they were in Liberia both in 1998 and in 2005.  Herbert is a United  Methodist minister and Mary works as an administrator for the Hospital at the Ganta Mission, in   addition to their other duties.   Herbert and Mary met while in college in North Carolina.  Herbert is a native Liberian and received a degree in engineering before he was called into the  ministry.  Mary was born and raised in the United States.
