Things to Do TODAY
Newcomers are invited to come to the
Welcome Table, across from the entrance doors, to
receive a small gift from the AUMC family. Answers to any questions can be
found there too.
Today after worship, we are continuing our
Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations
discussions by looking at what the bible says about
Radical
Hospitality,
what it truly means, and what we do/can do here at AUMC. Join us for this
great hour of Adult Sunday school starting at 10:15 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
A Love Gift will be received this morning to support
the mission work of THEE GATHERING.
They currently are funding an 8 year old girl in the West Bank
through World Vision and a Campus Crusade college missioner working with
international students. Baskets
for this offering can be found in the narthex.
.
HANGING OF THE GREENS TODAY AT 2:00 P.M.
Come decorate the church for the holiday season. Pizza will be served.
Activities will be available for small children. The evening will end in the
sanctuary singing Christmas carols.
NEWS TO USE
Notes from the Acton United Methodist Women (AUMW)
· We will be selling pins for the
Christmas season that say “It’s OK to Say Merry Christmas”.
This meaningful pin is also adorned with a Nativity scene.
A great pin to attach to your overcoat or suit jacket.
Why not pick one up for yourself or a couple to share with friends?
The pins will sell for $1.00 each.
Due to popular demand, pins have been reordered and more will be
available soon.
· Ladies, if you intend to join us
for the December 2nd Advent Tea this year, please be sure to sign up on the
Good News Board in the Narthex.
We want to make sure everyone who would like to attend has a seat reserved
for them.
· Those hosting a table for the
Advent Tea, please have your table description/message to Laura Mullen by
Wednesday, November 26th. You
can email it to her at
blmullen@comcast.net
or
call her at 861-5002.
Adult Advent Study:
Rejoicing in Hope
Our
adult Advent study begins after worship (10:15-11:15 a.m.) in Fellowship
Hall on Sunday,
November 30. Week one will focus on Zechariah and Elizabeth. To
prepare, read Luke 1:5-25,57-60 and reflect on the following questions:
1.
How have you felt spiritual barrenness?
2.
Read aloud Zechariah’s song (Luke 1:67-79). How does it make you
feel?
